Process Flow

1. Primary Ore Conveying and Screening

The mined primary ore is fed into the processing area. The material is conveyed by a belt conveyor and fed into the discharge silo by a vibrating feeder. After grinding and screening, the portion with a particle size of 10mm or larger is sent to the crushed stone silo, and the material with a particle size of less than 10mm is sent to the powder silo. The limestone raw material with qualified particle size is sent to the preheater for preheating and decomposition to prepare for the next processing step.

2. Calcination

During the pre-decomposition of limestone material in the preheater, the high-temperature flue gas from the rotary kiln preheats the material to 600-800 degrees Celsius. This heating causes partial decomposition of the limestone, improving calcination efficiency. The rotary kiln is a crucial piece of equipment in the limestone calcination process. Raw limestone material is fed into the kiln from the tail end. Within the kiln, the material undergoes heating, decomposition, and calcination before being discharged from the bottom.

3. Cooling and Transportation

After calcination in the kiln, cold air supplied by a blower cools the limestone. When the material cools to approximately 65 degrees Celsius, it is discharged by a cooler. A bucket elevator transports the finished material to the top of the silo, where a screening machine separates the material into different particle sizes for storage in separate silos.
