Technical improvements of vibrating screens

As the application of vibrating screens in mineral processing plants continues to expand, the manufacturing technology of this equipment is also constantly being improved. The following are the modifications made to this equipment by Xinshengrun.

1. New Type of Vibrating Motor

The original vibrating motor used in fine screening was a long cylindrical aluminum alloy casing. The motor was installed in the middle of the casing, with eccentric blocks and bearings installed at both ends. The excitation force was not adjustable. The bearings were lubricated with thin oil, and the oil pump was electrically controlled to automatically add oil to the bearings at regular intervals, with waste oil discharged automatically. This type of vibrating motor had a complex structure and required high precision in the fitting of parts. The addition of an auxiliary lubrication system significantly increased the equipment price, and even slight errors in machining accuracy affected product quality, leading to inconsistencies. Through extensive market research, a new type of vibrating motor using Japanese technology and manufactured domestically was selected. This vibrating motor features high frequency, advanced technology, reasonable structure, good performance, low price, and easy maintenance. The adjustable eccentric blocks are highly advantageous for selecting appropriate amplitudes. Grease lubrication requires oiling every 2-3 months, saving production costs. The casing material is alloy steel, making the motor’s feet less prone to breakage. This product is widely used in the power, building materials, coal, mining, metallurgy, chemical, and casting industries in China and is exported overseas. The selected new type of vibratory motor has undergone single-machine operation testing in fine screening, and its performance fully meets the technical requirements of fine screening. It also boasts advantages such as reliable quality, long service life, low noise, adjustable excitation force, and convenient maintenance. Currently, it has been applied in a mineral processing plant in Guangxi and has achieved good results.

2. Improvements to the Feeder

Whether the slurry can be evenly distributed on the screen surface after passing through the feeder has a significant impact on screening efficiency, processing capacity, and screen lifespan. Therefore, we have made effective improvements to the feeder:

(1) The angle of the guide plates and the size of the distribution plates inside the feeder have been improved to make them more reasonable, resulting in more uniform feeding and less impact on the screen surface.

(2) All major wear surfaces inside the feeder are lined with wear-resistant rubber plates and polyurethane foam plates, ensuring easy disassembly and assembly.

(3) The feeder has been divided into upper and lower sections for easy assembly and disassembly, making management, maintenance, and replacement more convenient.
