Steel slag, after being processed by a crusher, can be used as aggregate for road paving
Since its inception, the mining machinery industry has belonged to the heavy machinery sector. This industry is characterized by high energy consumption, widespread pollution, and a high risk of resource waste during production. If this trend continues, my country’s mining industry will be mired in unsustainable development. Saving the mining industry is imperative, and to resolve the current predicament, we must begin with improving its machinery and equipment.

Currently, my country ranks first in the world in steel production capacity, and its output is enormous. However, the steelmaking process generates a large amount of steel slag, an industrial solid waste. Failure to utilize this slag effectively and rationally represents a huge waste of energy. my country generates 84 million tons of steel slag annually. Steel slag has many applications; due to its high potential hydraulic properties, high yield, and low cost, it is used as a cementitious material and as aggregate in asphalt paving. However, the recycling and utilization of steel slag in my country is still relatively underdeveloped. Compared with some developed countries, my country’s recycling rate is only about 10%. Following the implementation of the national “12th Five-Year Plan” development strategy, improving the comprehensive utilization rate of steel slag has gradually become a priority. Some enterprises have begun to use crushing and grinding equipment to process steel slag. This approach effectively utilizes all steel slag from steel plants without any waste, solving the problem of occupying large amounts of farmland and land due to steel slag disposal, and bringing significant social and economic benefits.
We have specially launched a high-energy cone crusher for the actual treatment of slag and steel slag. Developed using advanced German crushing technology, this machine combines crushing speed, eccentricity (stroke), and a high-performance crushing chamber design.
