Precautions for operating coal slime dryer
Coal Slime Dryer Introduction

A coal slime dryer is a commonly used, high-efficiency drying equipment. It is manufactured based on the dryer system and specifically designed for the properties of coal slime. Users should pay close attention to its daily operation precautions. To understand the maintenance of a coal slime dryer, we must first understand the pre-start preparations. Preparation, also known as inspection, involves checking whether all machine transmission parts are lacking lubrication, whether the transmission parts are flexible, and whether the connection between the dryer and the heating furnace, the outlet of the drying and calcining equipment, and the area under the rotary cutter are clean. These are all things to pay attention to. Then, for starting and stopping, first ignite the furnace, then start the main unit, then start the conveyor. After the blower discharges material, start the induced draft fan. When stopping, ensure the dryer body temperature is below 80 degrees Celsius before shutting down.
Coal Slime Dryer Operation Instructions

When operating a coal slime dryer, pay attention to the following: For fuel, the calorie intake should be above 6000 kcal; for material feeding, feed evenly, avoiding excessive amounts or long pauses before feeding; regularly clean up any material falling at the junction of the conveyor and the dryer furnace; master daily maintenance techniques for the dryer, frequently checking for conveyor belt misalignment, intact joint connections, and loose bolts on the dryer, conveyor, and all connections; promptly add grease and machine oil to all parts, regularly check for abnormal noises in the machine, and address any issues immediately; periodically check for missing parts and replace any missing parts promptly.
1. If the final moisture content of the dried material is less than the specified value, the cause is either excessive heat supply or insufficient wet material feed. The solution is to increase the wet material feed, but the material filling cross-sectional area inside the cylinder should not exceed 20% of the cylinder’s cross-sectional area. Therefore, reduce the supply of hot air, i.e., reduce the supply of oil, gas, or coal.
2. The causes of vibration or up-and-down movement of the rotating drum are: damage to the connection between the support roller device and the drum body, which should be corrected. Incorrect position of the support roller, which should be adjusted.
3. Safety precautions for operation: (1) The start-up and shutdown of the CGSH sleeve-type three-drum dryer should be operated by designated personnel; (2) The CGSH sleeve-type rotary dryer and its drive motor should have a good grounding wire; (3) Maintenance is prohibited during machine operation, and personnel should avoid standing under the machine.
4. The final moisture content of the material after drying in the coal slime dryer exceeds the specified value. This may be caused by insufficient heat supply compared to the production capacity. The solution is to increase the furnace temperature or reduce the feed rate.
5. Excessive bearing temperature rise in the dryer equipment is caused by insufficient lubrication, dirt, improper adjustment, or jamming. These issues should be addressed promptly.
In daily use, strictly adhering to the operating procedures for the coal slime dryer is crucial to maximizing its lifespan and production capacity.
