Coarse powder mill compensates for process defects in grinding mills

It is understood that in the past, the grinding process of grinding mills typically involved using a crusher to perform primary crushing of the material, which then passed through a bucket elevator and an electromagnetic feeder before entering the grinding mill for further grinding. To ensure that the material entering the grinding mill reaches the ideal particle size, precise adjustments to the preceding crusher are usually required, and even then, achieving the desired effect is not always easy.

According to customer feedback received by the company, some customers purchased the company’s main equipment, the sand making machine, originally used in sand and gravel production lines, to process materials before grinding mills, and the results were excellent. However, using the sand making machine for material crushing before grinding significantly increases production costs, which conflicts with customers’ cost control principles. To address this issue, the company has assisted individual customers with specific needs in improving their existing grinding mill equipment, enabling them to achieve their processing goals through multiple methods. For customers specializing in coarse powder processing, the company even provides improved grinding mills that replace classifiers to achieve batch processing of coarse powder.

The production of the European-style coarse powder mill was undertaken to fill this gap and meet diverse customer needs. After careful discussion and successful testing by the company’s R&D center, the mill was successfully developed. According to the company’s test results, the European-style coarse powder mill’s hammer assembly can achieve arbitrary particle size adjustment for materials below 7cm. It has ideal results in crushing various ores and rocks with a compressive strength not exceeding 320MPa, making it suitable for applications such as limestone grinding for power plant desulfurization, quartz sand processing, refractory materials, and the processing of raw materials for non-fired bricks. It is believed that this innovative Xinshengrun coarse powder mill will compensate for the defects in the grinding mill process and provide a significant improvement for the production process in the above markets.

The working principle of a European-style coarse powder mill: The main shaft of the coarse powder mill is driven by a motor and a V-belt, causing the rotor to rotate. The hammers are subjected to centrifugal force generated by the rotation and extend outwards. Large pieces of material enter the crushing chamber through the feed inlet and are crushed by the high-speed moving hammers. The qualified material is discharged through the slit grate at the bottom, while the unqualified material remains in the crushing chamber and is repeatedly struck by the hammers and impact blocks until it can be discharged in a qualified manner. To avoid clogging, the moisture content of the material being crushed is generally no more than 5%.
