Briefly describe the grinding process of a suspension roller mill
The suspended roller mill is also a type of mill. This equipment grinds raw materials into fine powder by rolling grinding rollers suspended on a spider frame on a grinding ring. When the main unit starts rotating, the grinding rollers on the spider frame also rotate around the vertical shaft simultaneously. The material is fed into the grinding chamber by the tilt angle of the shovel, and then crushed and ground into fine powder by the grinding rollers.

The raw materials are ground into fine powder within the grinding chamber of the mill and then conveyed by airflow. The ground fine powder is blown up from the grinding chamber by a large blower and carried away by the airflow. After being analyzed by a rotary vane analyzer at the top of the mill, coarse particles exceeding the required size are impacted by the blades and fall back into the grinding chamber for re-grinding. The fine powder that meets the requirements enters the large cyclone collector with the airflow and is discharged into the finished product storage silo through the powder outlet pipe. The airflow returns from above the large cyclone collector to the inlet of the large blower, and is discharged into the main unit’s air duct, where it again blows up the ground powder. The entire system is a closed-loop circulation and operates under negative pressure.
If the pipe flanges and connections of individual components in the system are not airtight, it will lead to an increase in the airflow in the circulation pipeline. The increased airflow is discharged through the vent pipe between the large blower outlet and the main unit’s air duct into the small cyclone collector. The fine powder in the vented airflow is collected by the small cyclone collector and a bag filter before being discharged into the atmosphere by the small blower.
The grinding process of a suspension roller mill may seem complicated, but it is actually very simple, and the grinding effect is quite good.
