Ball Mill Working Principle

The ball mill is a horizontal cylindrical rotating device with external gear drive, two chambers, and a grate-type energy-saving design. Material is fed evenly into the mill chamber through the hollow feed shaft via the feeding device. This chamber is lined with stepped or corrugated liners and contains steel balls of different sizes. The rotation of the cylinder generates centrifugal force, which lifts the steel balls to a certain height before they fall, impacting and grinding the material.
After coarse grinding in the first chamber, the material passes through a single-layer partition plate into the second chamber, which is lined with flat liners and contains steel balls for further grinding.
