Assembly technical requirements for flotation machines

2025-12-25

The production, installation, and use of flotation machines are subject to strict technical requirements, mainly including general technical requirements, assembly technical requirements, and technical requirements for major components.

General Technical Requirements for Flotation Machines

1. Flotation machines shall meet the requirements of this standard and be manufactured according to drawings and technical documents approved through the prescribed procedures.

2. General technical requirements not specified in this standard shall comply with the provisions of relevant national and industry standards.

Assembly Technical Requirements for Flotation Machines

1. Assembly technical requirements refer to the fact that after all the tanks of the flotation machine are connected, the overflow weir should be parallel to the horizontal line. The parallelism tolerance in the height direction should meet the following requirements:

Parallelism Tolerance: ≤3 ≤4 ≤35

2. The scraper shafts should be in a straight line, with the outer edge of the scraper 3-5mm from the overflow weir. The scraper should rotate freely without any abnormal phenomena.

3. The impeller suction port should be aligned with the suction flange, with a coaxiality tolerance of 5mm in diameter and a gap not exceeding 6mm.

Technical Requirements for Main Components of Flotation Machines

1. Agitation Mechanism: The axial and radial clearance between the stator and impeller should not exceed 8mm, with an error of 1mm. The stator guide plates and the tank guide plates should be aligned and not misaligned. The temperature rise of the main bearing should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius.

2. Scraper Mechanism of the Flotation Machine: The scraper mechanism should ensure straightness after assembly and rotate freely.

3. Flotation Tank: The suction holes of the flotation tank should be equidistant from the four side walls, with a deviation not exceeding 4mm; the height difference between the overflow weirs on both sides of the tank and the horizontal plane of the foundation should not exceed 3mm; the tank, after welding, should not be diamond-shaped, the diagonal length error should not exceed 3/1000 of the diagonal length, and the verticality error of the side walls to the horizontal plane of the foundation should not exceed 3mm; the flotation tank must undergo a kerosene leakage test, and there should be no leakage.

4. Worm Gear Reducer of the Flotation Machine: After assembly, the worm gear reducer should undergo a no-load test at a speed between 1000 and 1500 r/min, for 2 hours each in forward and reverse directions, and should meet the following requirements:

a. Smooth operation, without impact or obvious vibration;

b. No oil leakage at any joint surfaces or seals;

c. The temperature rise of the reducer should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius;

d. The gear contact surface should be at least 50% of the total length along the tooth length and at least 60% of the total tooth height along the tooth height.
